About the role: 

*OUR HEADQUARTERS IS LOCATED IN NEW YORK CITY, BUT THIS ROLE IS BASED IN DENVER, CO*

The Streaming Media Engineer is responsible for architectural design, implementation, and documentation of an on premises and cloud-based live ABR video processing environment. The engineer is also responsible for reliable, consistent operation of these systems to provide a top quality video delivery experience for our customers. 

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing a MVPD-based live ABR video processing environment
• Develop tools to scale deployments of chosen architectures
• Work with various business-critical vendors to drive feature development and bug fixes
• Work with multiple teams to launch new services on the Fubo platform
• Provide Tier 2 support as needed
• Perform routine maintenances as needed, possibly overnight 
• Participate in an on-call rotation and act as a subject matter expert for Fubo’s internal groups

Required Skills:

• Solid experience in various video and audio codecs such as AVC, HEVC, AAC, E-AC3
• Solid experience in multimedia transport protocols including RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi
• Experience in various streaming packaging methods such as HLS and DASH
• Understanding of alternate content workflows in ABR ecosystem (ESAM, ESNI/SCTE-224/SCTE-35, etc) 
• Experience in developing automation using languages such as Python, Ruby, GoLang, with ability to adapt to business needs as required
• Familiarity with DRM and content encryption, including 3rd-party integrations
• Familiarity with different CDN vendors and their systems (e.g. Akamai, Level3, Fastly, etc.)
• Familiarity with enterprise MPEG Analysis tools, such as Tektronix, Ineoquest, Elecard, etc
• Familiarity with cloud deployments (Docker, AWS EC2/ECS, Google Cloud Compute/Storage)
• Experience with testing environments, and development of scenarios

Fubo’s minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is $125,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $150,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fubo's equity plan, annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO and a full range of medical benefits. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
