Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.

Duties:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and social media strategy for Wasserman social accounts - specifically basketball, soccer and The Collective (women’s practice)
  • Help with copywriting and design in Canva to ensure content is informative and compelling
  • Collaborate with other Wasserman departments
  • Measure the success of social media campaigns
  • Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Suggest new and creative content ideas as well as conduct research and social media scans for a wide list of clients
  • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Weekly email development and strategy

Requirements

  • Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, etc.
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities 
  • Strong Canva or Photoshop and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of the media landscape, including print, online, broadcast, etc. as well as basketball, soccer and women’s sports/music/entertainment and activism
  • Awareness of industry trends
  • ·Thorough understanding of social media, especially Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
  • Well-developed communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines 
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Displays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients
  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Must be able to receive college credit for an internship opportunity
  • Time commitment expectation of 30-40 hours per week

Estimated Salary range:
