We're thrilled to be launching the TAB Racing Club in late 2024, which has been designed to evoke and nurture support for racing ownership and connect our customers to racing behind the scenes.

We're now seeking a TAB Racing Club Manager to elevate racing ownership and engagement in the racing industry. The Manager's primary focus is to operationally manage the TAB Racing Club and execute core initiatives and key business strategies. You'll engage with trainers, clubs, and racing participants, and work with internal teams including Marketing, Technology, and Product to produce impactful campaigns which heighten customer engagement. This is a rare opportunity in our business to heighten our value proposition and deepen our customer connection to our TAB brand.

Where and how you can work...

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. This role will ideally be based in Auckland. However we are also open to applications from Wellington. We value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, ensuring we achieve work-life balance and individual preferences.

This role will require ad-hoc travel throughout New Zealand and Australia, immersing you in the racing industry and connecting you to key internal and external stakeholders. Exciting components of the role include hosting events and meeting other key needs that fall outside of business hours, so it's essential that you're flexible with your working hours including some weekend work to meet the nature the racing industry.

Your day-to-day...

Operationally manage the TAB Racing Club in NZ and deliver on core initiatives.
Support the General Manager Ownership & Participation in strategy development.
Engage with trainers, clubs, and racing participants regardless bloodstock, customer communications, and the curation of experiences such as stable tours and race day events.
Work closely with internal teams to develop campaigns which generate engagement and deliver rewards, benefits, and generosities.
Develop written and visual content for racing club members, including trainer videos, social reels, and graphics.
Collaborate with Finance to formulate budgets and forecasts in relation to TAB Racing Club operations.
Act as a point of escalation for customer service and customer queries in relation to programs.

You're a match if you ideally have...

Knowledge and understanding of the horse racing industry, including racing rules and regulations.
Experience in cross-functional collaboration, managing vendors, and project management.
A strong relationship management background paired with high level interpersonal skills to connect with trainers, clubs, racing participants and club members.
Familiarity with the specific operations and offerings of TAB would be advantageous.
Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field would be desirable.
