Spotlight Sports Group is a global media and technology company specialising in content and data within sports betting, horse racing and fantasy sports. With over 400 employees, the group operates multiple award-winning brands, including Racing Post, the world’s largest horse racing affiliate, Pickswise, myracing and Free Super Tips. We partner with leading operators across the betting industry to produce and build multilingual, best-in-class digital products and content to engage and educate customers. This is a hybrid role where you will be based across our London office, the racecourse and home.

Job context:

As a member of the Raceday team you will have responsibility for the provision of in-depth post-race analysis and in-running comments on races in Britain and Ireland for the Racing Post's results service, for online and print.

Key accountabilities:

• Writing analysis comments
• Writing in-running comments
• Taking sectional times
• Subbing analysis and in-running comments
• Training and giving feedback on Raceday tasks where required
• Adhere to media and copyright laws
• Any other duties as and when required

Requirements

Essential:

• In-depth knowledge of horse racing and form analysis
• Ability to interpret and describe races
• Excellent writing skills
• First class attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent teamwork skills

Desirable:

• Operational knowledge of Google docs and mail
• Experience of writing about horse racing, in particular form analysis
