JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Turf department in the care and maintenance of the turf at Empower Field at Mile High.        

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Turf department with tasks involved with the care and maintenance of the turf at Empower Field at Mile High by:

• Assisting in performing turf maintenance and other tasks including but not limited to painting, field logos, tarp placement, and snow removal.
• Operating equipment such as utility vehicles, paint machines, and other equipment.
• Working flexible/extended hours as needed to accommodate work requirements including weekends/holidays.
• Keeping the office area and maintenance area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Working around the public in a safe and courteous manner.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees and other departments around the stadium.
• Communicating effectively one-on-one and in small group settings.
• Relaying essential information to the Turf management team in person or over the phone.

Assist the Turf department on game day in accordance with SMC, Denver Broncos, and NFL Policies by:

• Assisting the Turf department in set up and tear down of the playing field during NFL games.
• Working around NFL players and staff in a safe and courteous manner on game day.
• Contributing to the team effort by performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Resume
• Completion of High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Availability for scheduled painting during the week of an event/ Broncos’ game.
• Required to work all Denver Broncos home football games and public events as assigned

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY

• Experience in landscape maintenance, sports field, or golf course maintenance
• Excellent work ethic and professionalism
• Works well in a team setting
• Self-motivated with excellent organization
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to utilize smart phone
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $19.25.

Stadium Management Company offers Paid Time Off 1 hour for every 30 hours worked and a 401(K) matching program once you reach 1,000 hours in the plan year.
