Who You Are: As a Corporate Office Barisa & Workplace Associate, you will seamlessly blend the art of coffee making with workplace upkeep and assistance. In the mornings, you'll showcase your expertise as a Barista, crafting and serving high quality coffee beverages that energize our team and guests. Beyond making coffee, you'll create a welcoming atmosphere, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the vibrant ambiance of our office space. 

Transitioning into the afternoon, your focus shifts to supporting workplace operations as a Workplace Associate. You'll take ownership of maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the workplace and assist in preparing for office meetings and events. Additionally, handling tasks related to workplace maintenance, and offering support wherever needed to facilitate smooth operations. 

What You're Good At:

Barista Expectations: 7:00am - 11:00am

• Expertly prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea beverages, including but not limited to, espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and brewed coffee and tea.
• Follow recipes and guidelines for beverage preparation to ensure consistency.
• Consistently maintain the highest standards of quality in coffee preparation and presentation
• Greet and assist teammates and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take and accurately process beverage orders using a point-of-sale system, ensuring personalized preferences are met.
• Operate coffee-making equipment efficiently to maintain a smooth and quick service pace.
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously, maintaining a high level of accuracy and speed during peak hours.
• Experience with La Marzocco’s models is a plus – this will be the machine provided and used.
• Keep the coffee preparation area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Regularly clean coffee machines and schedule routine maintenance according to the recommendations made by the machine manufacturer.
• Have a constant awareness of consumable and non-consumable supply inventory and order as needed.
• Work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate coffee services for meetings, events, and special occasions.
• Stay informed about the coffee varieties, brewing techniques, and flavor profiles to provide insightful information to co-workers and guests.
• Collect and analyze customer feedback to make continuous improvements to the coffee service.
• Address concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Workplace Associate Expectations: 12:00pm - 4:00pm

• Makes routine periodic walk-throughs of office.
• Maintains appearance of the common spaces, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces.
• Contribute to the set up and tear down of company sponsored events as appropriate (e.g. charitable events, new hire orientation, holiday parties, etc.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
• Monitor and maintain day porter and night cleaning services and cleaning schedules.
• Maintain and restock employee refrigerators and coolers.
• Partner with First Impressions Coordinator on office supplies inventory and coordinate restocking as needed.
• Occasionally assist the First Impressions Coordinator with reception duties.
• Support the Office Manager in coordinating with vendors for service and repairs.
• Assist in the coordination of office space adjustments for staff changes and departures.
• Manage equipment and furniture inventory, coordinating repairs or replacements when necessary.

What You Contribute: 

• Barista Skills:
  • Barista in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is preferred. 
  •  Proficiency in crafting high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and equipment.
• Physicality and Safety Requirements: 
  • Must have the ability to work in a standard building environment including walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs (up to three stories) and to lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally moves or pushes up to 75 pounds.
  • Health and safety compliance in food handling and preparation.
• Excellent Customer Service: 
  •  Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor.
