Summary

The NFL Digital Intelligence & Optimization team helps business leaders make thoughtful, evidence-based decisions to support NFL Media's long-term value. The Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst serves as the key business partner across many functions including Marketing, Content, Product, and Operations.

This role is responsible for the reporting, forecasting, and optimization of the NFL Media’s product portfolio.  The Business Intelligence & Analytics Analyst will work closely with teams across the business to determine impact of current and future content and product initiatives, deliver actionable insights, and identify customer segments to reduce churn and grow customer lifetime value.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify, summarize, and present key insights and learnings to various stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Content, Gaming, Sales, Biz Dev, etc.)
  • Define success metrics, set baseline KPIs and develop forecasts with stakeholders
  • Manage regular performance reporting and ad hoc analysis of key NFL digital media initiatives
  • Build/maintain dashboards and self-service solutions to measure performance
  • Analyze and quantify impact of product changes, new features, marketing; Make go-forward recommendations to optimize performance
  • Analyze user behavior & identify valuable audience segments for targeting

 

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Analyst capacity and/or descriptive analytics
  • Prior experience in digital analytics, business intelligence or another quantitative field desired
  • Technically inclined with ability to learn quickly & work in ambiguity or with little guidance
  • Curious problem solver & willing to challenge existing processes/knowledge
  • Effective data storyteller with ability to concisely summarize & communicate results of analyses
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment, balancing & prioritizing concurrent projects across multiple stakeholders
  • Excel, Powerpoint, SQL & data visualization skills desired

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts, design, and data engineering

 

Other Key Attributes / Characteristics

  • Ability to execute analytics projects from beginning to end – including hypothesis forming, data collection, analysis, and presentation
  • Able to think strategically and contextualize findings within NFL and broader market trends
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and work in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience presenting to senior leaders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong business acumen

 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time contract position – minimum 40/hours per week
  • Potential for >40 hour weeks leading up to and during the season
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • Potential for required weekend tasks leading up to and during the season

 

 

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$28$36 USD
