We are seeking an astute self-motivated Commercial Executive to join our highly motivated team to drive new business opportunities with advertisers, media agencies, sports rights holders and government bodies.
The main objective of this commercial role is to execute a sales strategy for our portfolio of clients across key strategic verticals developing successful, long-lasting relationships within the sector. This role is perfect for an articulate, confident and high-energy professional to explore new business opportunities and who is skilled in working collaboratively.
QualificationsRole Responsibilities
Work closely with the Commercial Director to execute against the sales strategy, manage partnerships & plan to facilitate new business opportunities
Provide administrative and operational sales support to the Commercial Director, including preparation of contracts and management of Salesforce for pipeline management
Deliver quarterly sales targets through new business (Acquisition) and renewal contracts
Manage sales pipeline to proactively identify and close new business opportunities
Development of internal relationships across both the Media & Sports business units, for support with identifying opportunities and converting the sale
Facilitate, drive and support sales initiatives across the wider Nielsen team
Create and deliver clear, concise and compelling internal and external client presentations (proposals/solutions)
Develop a solid working understanding of Nielsen Sports’ solutions along with other relevant Nielsen products to offer to clients a holistic set of insights
Role Requirements
Bachelor Degree, preferably with an analytical or numerical background; Economics, Statistics, or Business, Marketing/Market research
Strong interest in the business of sports, media, events, and entertainment
Up to 3 years experience as a sales/partnerships representative within the media, agency, brand, sports or entertainment sector
Proven track record of success across new business generation and/or substantive relevant business experience
Previous experience with the Sports and Entertainment industry is not mandatory but desirable
Excellent project, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with adaptability and agility to thrive under pressure within a fast-moving industry and a high-energy team
Demonstrate balance as a self-starter, working autonomously with ownership of tasks; and a team player, collaborating across divisions and markets
