Join our team in Miami and support us on our mission. THE POSITION FIFA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Compliance & Risk Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Miami, FL, and will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining a robust compliance and risk management framework. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of potential risks and of the legal and regulatory landscape relevant to the organization. These are your key tasks: Support in the continued development and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to FIFA’s compliance program by departments through guidance, training and monitoring. Promote a compliance culture and awareness by advising staff and conducting trainings in relevant compliance topics. Deliver tailor-made compliance training and continuously ensuring that trainings are adapted to the needs of the organization. Conduct internal and external investigations as well as forensic reviews to identify mismanagement and recommend corrective actions to senior management. Manage and maintain FIFA’s Integrated Compliance Portal, including maintenance of the workflows, ticket management and approval process for key program components. Support the delivery of stakeholder events, for example, governance workshops and the biennial FIFA Governance Summit with FIFA’s 211 member associations. Execute ad-hoc projects and provide ad-hoc compliance advice as assigned. Assist the Head of Risk & Compliance in the continuous development and implementation of FIFA’s risk management framework. Work with risk owners of different departments to ensure that risks are identified, assessed and mitigated to the desired level. Support risk owners to detect, evaluate and mitigate organization-wide risks and produce formal reports. YOUR PROFILE We work hard at FIFA. We are dedicated, ambitious and innovative. The specific competencies we require for this position are: 8+ years working experience in a governance function (compliance, risk management, legal or audit experience). Must have: University degree in a related field e.g., Law, Compliance, Business Administration, Economics, Finance. Desirable: Postgraduate degree in a related field, e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law. Professional certification related to risk management and compliance from a reputable organisation. Experience in preparing high-quality explanatory documents, work papers or memoranda and reports in a timely manner for senior management and independent committees. Experience in assessing risk (preferably according to ISO 31000) and advising on resolution of regulatory, risk and compliance issues. Experience in conducting internal and external investigations. Experience working in a cross-functional, multi-stakeholder environment. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong qualitative risk based thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong intellectual curiosity and business acumen with sound professional judgement in areas of ambiguity. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and establish trust, respect and confidence and ability to tailor messages to the specific audience. Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to preventing, identifying, and resolving issues. Eagerness to work in an international, fast-changing environment. Hands-on, reliable and discreet personality with the flexibility of taking on tasks beyond the job description. Positive and friendly attitude. Ability to set priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI or a similar tool is an asset.
