The Detroit Lions are looking to hire a Creative Project Manager to support our creative team. This role will report directly to the Creative Director. This role manages project work flow for creative team through all stages of the process, starting with initial requests through install or delivery, while ensuring all are on-time and on-budget. This position will communicate and problem solve potential roadblocks or hurdles throughout.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create, manage and drive project deliverables across multiple projects, simultaneously for the creative team.
  • Work collaboratively from start of project to ensure brief is clear with required information, understanding assignment/task, and being part of process until completion.
  • Own, maintain and report on project plans, status, task lists for every project.
  • Contribute to weekly internal status meetings.
  • Track key decisions and prioritization that impact project budget, cadence, scope, and/or timelines.
  • Manage expectation of internal or cross-functional teams by developing strong relationships with each.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to effectively work with other internal departments. including marketing, sales, production, partnerships, operations, events, and other stakeholders
  • Have and display strong knowledge of production processes for various print and install projects.
  • Possess organizational skills to keep multiple printing jobs on schedule and ensure all specifications are being followed with external vendors.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency across all projects is consistent with brand guidelines.
  • Balance a sense of urgency with a calm, confident and solution-oriented attitude at all times.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Will adjust work schedule to meet departmental demands, including being available to work a non-standard schedule in support of international travel, football operations, events, and other Marketing activities, including holidays and weekends as needed.
  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a timely and productive manner.
  • Communicates effectively with team members.
  • Creative and innovative thinker who is detail-oriented.
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position. Such responsibilities shall be incorporated into the position description if they are ongoing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of project management or equivalent experience; experience with project management software, Asana preferred
  • Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience working on a digital, creative, communications, advertising, or PR agency integrated account.
  • The ability to multi-task, work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced and challenging environment and on multiple projects at one time.
  • Has a great command of delivering diverse projects with a track record of success.
  • Ability to influence peers/managers and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity.
  • Operational knowledge of strategy, design, and development/production deliverables. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision at detailed levels.
  • Demonstrates a bias for action, can deliver in an agile environment, and has a proven ability to turn troubled projects around.
  • Demonstrable experience of project delivery with a similar business environment. (Marketing team, creative agency, sports club)
  • Ability to communicate difficult messages tactfully.
