Game Content Analyst
As part of the Portfolio team within the Global Third Party Relations team, the Game Content Analyst will be one of the key people responsible for evaluating content potential within the PlayStation portfolio. This person will be a subject matter expert providing a consultative layer to the strategic partnerships that are in consideration. This role will be responsible for evaluation of games from partners ranging from all scopes, genres and sizes. This includes the largest of AAA studios all the way down to the smallest indie teams.
What you’ll be doing:
Evaluate and report feedback for titles that are in consideration for partnership and prioritization within the portfolio
Work with internal producers to deep dive on playable builds and report on qualitative feedback with attention to game design, art direction, user experience, and more throughout major milestones of key partner titles
Communicate on a regular basis to cross-functional partners in the greater SIE business the merits behind the content inbound from the global third party portfolio
Work cross-functionally with Account Management teams in identifying title targets not yet on the platform for partnership or prioritization consideration
Support Account Management's search for new PlayStation Partners
Support curation for marketing, social, and store activations
Analysis of current roadmap and identifying gaps and opportunities
Identifying and reporting on industry trends to support and influence the portfolio content strategy
What we’re looking for:
Solid understanding of the development process (understanding how to best approach and evaluate content at different stages of development)
Near-Encyclopedic knowledge of major games and genres across all platforms (console, mobile, PC, etc.)
Plays and can speak to a wide range of games from the hottest FPS to the most artistic new indie darling
Relentlessly stays up to date on the latest industry trends
Multidisciplinary approach to analyzing creative content, and the ability to effectively and efficiently articulate the merits of a game
Ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment with internal teams and global third party development and publishing partners
Accommodate Pacific Time Zone business hours
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (predominantly to Asia) as needed, up to three times a quarter
Japanese and/or Mandarin language skills greatly preferred
Five years minimum experience in the game industry with a heavy writing focus
Game design, game-related writing and/or production background a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BS or BA degree or equivalent industry work experience required

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
