Position Overview
Candidate will be responsible for a wide range of domestic and international event ticketing operational and financial functions, along with administrative tasks as required.
Essential Functions
● Help support ticket operations for domestic and international MLB events such as All-Star, Little League Classic, Field of Dreams, World Baseball Classic, International Games, HRDX, Postseason, etc.
● Management of PowerPoint presentations.
● Management of financial ticket reconciliation for various internal departments and external groups to ensure billing for all global events is done timely and accurately.
● Administrator of the ticketing portion of Postseason Manual.
● Oversee compilation of all financial documents and reporting relevant to the planning and operations of ticketing Global Events, including budget forecasting items for Finance.
● Provide additional support to ticketing initiatives for any additional games and hospitality events operated by the Global Events Department and on site at events.
● Work cross-functionally with various internal departments on event related specific items.
Qualifications and Skills
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
● Experience with ticketing programs such as Archtics, ProVenue, or Ticketmaster are highly preferred, but not required
● Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
● Detail oriented, with excellent organization, communication and writing skills
● Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Strong problem solver and creative thinker
● Excellent computer aptitude and advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Google Drive preferred
● Flexibility to work at night and weekends as needed, and ability to travel domestically and internationally
● Fluency or strong understanding of Spanish and other languages is a plus
● An understanding of baseball is preferred
● Experience working in a professional sports and/or special events environment would be an asset
Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $27.00 to $27.00. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
