Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the strategy for bringing teams closer together to operate in a successful domain oriented team setup, capatilising on key experiences gathered from the team/s 
  • Manage the development and work with other key stakeholders such as Shared Technology Services for the utilisation of infrastructure 
  • Develop and manage relationships with commercial leaders of the business to help cost adequately for our services
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with clients, and be client facing where needed
  • Collaborate with the legal team when necessary due to platform incidents. Guide and nurture a proactive mindset for such matters   
  • Responsible for professional development and training required by the teams to grow and continue to excel contributing to our organisational goals  
  • Innovate and come up with different ways to optimise the platform/s 
  • Drive budgeting for the department  
  • Ensure that internal projects and initiatives related to project delivery are aligned with overall business strategy and priorities
  • Work with the People Team to identify potential needs, challenges and opportunities to maintain great retention and development of Talent
  • Provide support to the account management where necessary

Technical and financial responsibilities

  • Work proactively with other Head/Director/s and CTO to draft detailed plans catering for the business needs
  • Increase awareness in existing leadership team/s for the importance of security, sustainability and scalability
  • Ensure teams follow best practices for coding standards and processes 
  • Monitor and provide guidance to service management to have robust processes when incidents occur out of office hours 
  • Work on products with a direct +ve cash flow towards Platform  

Leadership responsibilities

  • Maintain strong working relationship across the organisation
  • Ensure effective internal communications both within the Tech department and across the organisation.
  • Promote cross collaboration to ensure smooth execution of projects 
  • Work towards the company vision and cascade the vision to the existing leadership team
  • Mentor skills and attitude
  • Encourage and promote best practices and ensure Agile processes are followed across. 
  • Able to leads with integrity, listens and persuades, inspires other to succeed, collaborates compassionately, plans and executes and sees the big picture and thinks strategically

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and architecture roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position
  • Strong understanding of engineering   
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory compliance requirements in the gambling and casinos industry
