Who Are We?

Welltech is a global wellness technology company with Ukrainian roots. Our mission is to build and scale wellness apps globally through state-of-the-art, tech-driven performance marketing.

We are one of the most established players in the wellness app space, and we are accelerating. Over 25.5 million people across the world use our apps — Muscle Booster, Yoga-Go, and WalkFit — to build healthier habits, move more, and feel better every day. Every subscription represents a real person making a real change in their life, and we take that seriously.

With 500+ people across hubs in Cyprus, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and the UK, we combine the scale of a market leader and the drive of a team that's just getting started.

About the Role

We are looking for a Cyprus-qualified Legal Counsel to join our legal function and support our growing IT business. This role will focus on corporate governance, commercial contracts, compliance, employment law matters, and day-to-day legal support for cross-functional teams across the group’s entities worldwide.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Procurement, HR, and business stakeholders, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice in a fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Governance & Compliance:

    • Handle corporate governance matters for Cyprus entities and other Welltech group companies worldwide, including coordination of corporate approvals, documentation, and record-keeping.

    • Manage statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance matters for Cyprus entities, including timely filings, corporate records, and ongoing alignment with applicable legal, governance, and internal policy requirements.

    • Assist with group-wide KYC and audit procedures, ensuring timely, accurate, and well-coordinated legal input.

  • Commercial Contracts:

    • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including services, software, marketing, confidentiality, lease, and intra-group contracts.

  • Cross-Functional Legal Support:

    • Act as a trusted legal partner to Finance, Procurement, HR, and business teams, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice on day-to-day matters.

    • Support cross-functional projects by ensuring timely legal review, clear communication, and alignment with business objectives.

    • Work closely with external stakeholders, including corporate service providers, agents, and external counsel, to coordinate legal documentation and support timely resolution of legal matters.

  • Employment Law Support:

    • Provide legal advice on Cyprus employment law matters, acting as an advisory partner to the HR team.

    • Review employment-related documentation, HR policies, and procedures where legal input is required.

    • Support HR in complex, non-standard, or escalated employment matters, ensuring alignment with applicable Cyprus employment law and internal policies.

  • Legal Operations & Process Improvement:

    • Contribute to optimisation of legal workflows and processes; drive initiatives aimed at improving efficiency across the legal function and streamlining day-to-day legal support, including through the use of AI-enabled tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Cyprus-qualified lawyer (must-have) with approximately 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained through a combination of law firm and in-house roles.

  • Strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, with proven experience drafting and reviewing contracts and solid knowledge of Cyprus corporate governance, compliance, and employment law matters.

  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, accountability, flexibility and adaptability.

  • Ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice in a dynamic environment.

  • Fluency in English at minimum C1 level (drafting and negotiation language).

Nice to Have

  • Multi-jurisdictional exposure and hands-on experience supporting companies across multiple jurisdictions worldwide would be an advantage.

  • Experience working with or reviewing contracts with payment service providers (such as bank acquirers, PSPs, payment gateways, payment orchestration platforms).

  • Hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools, designing and creating legal workflows (including AI-enabled workflows) to support contract review, drafting, legal research, and legal process optimisation - overall AI savviness and a track record of building such workflows would be considered a considerable advantage.
