Legal Counsel Disputes Department: Legal & Compliance Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Miami Description We govern the beautiful game and ensure it's run with transparency and integrity. THE POSITION These are your key tasks: Efficiently and effectively dealing with labor disputes between players and clubs, coaches and clubs or associations, and with club/club disputes in connection with the transfer of a player before the FIFA Football Tribunal, as well as with matters concerning the eligibility and the release of players for international duty  Interpreting players’ employment and transfer-related contracts and preparing case files for decision by the members of the FIFA Football Tribunal, taking into account existing FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) jurisprudence  Efficiently and effectively handling procedures regarding matters pending before the Players’ Status Chamber of the FIFA Football Tribunal including: the protection of minors player registration and international transfers change of association and eligibility of players to play for national teams  release and late return matters  Providing legal services for Transfer Matching System (TMS) matters Giving written and/or oral advice on the regulations as well as on general legal issues to players, clubs, member associations, agents, legal advisors, etc.  Supporting the members of the FIFA Football Tribunal  Keeping an overview of FIFA and CAS jurisprudence  Supporting the Litigation Department when needed within the scope of appeals lodged against FIFA’s decisions before CAS Reporting directly to the Team Lead Disputes YOUR PROFILE We work hard at FIFA.
