Role overview:

This position is for a temporary engagement through our staffing partner. The anticipated duration of this engagement will be 12 months.

We are looking for a Localisation Project Manager to join our award-winning International Production & Localisation team at PlayStation Studios in Central London!

Our Project Managers work with some of the most creative and quality-driven development teams in the industry to deliver high quality audio and text localisations for critically acclaimed franchises like The Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Dreams. We also work closely with publishing teams across Sony Interactive Entertainment, including Marketing, PR and Operations, to help manage their global translation requirements for printed materials and digital content.

In this role, your primary focus will be to work with stakeholders across PlayStation to manage the global translation needs for our digital publishing content and be responsible for all aspects of the localisation workflow, from project inception to completion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work cross-functionally with SIE’s Publishing teams, territories and external agencies to manage global translation requirements for digital channels and printed materials into 40+ languages.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, copywriters and territories to capture project requirements and create tailored localisation solutions for the assigned projects.
  • Work effectively with external vendors to ensure translators have all the information and materials needed to meet the project requirements and deliver high quality localisation on time and on budget.
  • Identify potential project risks and work to offer effective solutions for resolution or mitigation.
  • Leverage and maintain translation tools, glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency in tone, style and quality.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows or tooling, and work with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement solutions to remedy.
  • Partner with Vendor Management to track and analyse vendor performance and devise solutions for any issues identified.
  • Help manage game localisation projects when needed.

What we are looking for:

  • You have 3+ years’ localisation experience in a translation or localisation project management role, ideally in the games or digital entertainment industry.
  • You have excellent knowledge of CAT tools, and familiarity with the latest translation technologies
  • You have excellent knowledge of translation project management methodologies and processes.
  • You have exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills, and experience in managing complex, fast-paced projects.
  • You work independently and can manage multiple projects at once whilst meeting tight deadlines.
  • You are a great collaborator with solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You are curious and creative, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • You are fluent in more than one language.
