Job Summary:

As the Manager, Software Engineer (Mobile), you will lead a team of talented engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of our mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly apps that enhance the sports fan experience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mobile app development, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for sports technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mobile app engineers to deliver high-quality applications.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize features and enhancements.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Establish and enforce best practices and coding standards within the development team.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges and roadblocks.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our apps remain at the forefront of innovation.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven 6+ years of experience in mobile app development for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, and Java.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and APIs.
  • Knowledge of cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.
  • Proficiency with code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development frameworks such as React Native or Flutter.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications on time.

Pay Transparency

The approximate base pay range for this position is $125,000 to $135,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
