ABOUT THE POSITION
Brooklyn, New York
The New York Liberty Sponsorship Intern will assist the team with needs related to supporting existing corporate sponsors as well as new partnership sales leads. This position reports directly to the New York Liberty’s Head of Strategy & Partnership Marketing. The individual should be a creative and out-of-the-box thinker that’s passionate about women’s sports and the WNBA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Partnership Marketing
Attendance at all 2024 Liberty home games at Barclays Center is required
Responsible for supporting the Liberty’s Partnership Marketing Manager to oversee partnership accounts;
Aids in the ideation and execution of marketing strategies and sponsor events for various accounts and initiatives;
Researches new opportunities to grow each corporate partner by keeping up-to-date with goals, objectives, and the competitive landscape of the market;
Takes part in partner check-in calls and provides diligent recaps for internal review
Sponsorship Strategy
Supports the Liberty’s Sponsorship Sales Directors with tasks relating to proposals and presentation development;
Assists with the creation of new inventory ideas and activation concepts
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
4th year of Bachelor Degree Studies or College Graduate Program
Previous internship experience in either marketing, advertising, event planning, partnership marketing, and/or sponsorship is preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Available to commit 35-40 hours per week from April 2024 through September 2024 (start and end dates are flexible)
Ability to work from Corporate Headquarters in Brooklyn, NY (based on a mutually agreed upon schedule)
Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
Strong time management and organizational skills
Confident, resilient, and possess a high level of energy and passion;
Solutions-orientated and resourceful;
A flexible and reliable teammate, both within the department and company
SALARY RANGE
$18/hr
