Let’s start with the role

As a Payments Controller in Kaizen, you will be part of the Payments Product team, Account & Payments vertical. Your primary responsibility is to manage all finance-related aspects for the Payments Product team, while also providing support in major compliance and legal processes governing internal and/or external relationships. Payments Controller reports to the Head of Product, Payments.

As a Payments Controller, you will:

• Monitor and enhance any cost-related internal process, thus managing all potential financial risks of the Payments Product department.
• Assist the Head of Product, Payments and PSP Relationship Managers in every cost-related negotiation process.
• Prepare and publish departmental financial reports.
• Support as needed in all 3rd party due diligence processes, initiate and closely follow up all 3rd party respective agreements.
• Along with the Head of Product, Payments prepare and control departmental budgets.
• Maintain the most up-to-date cost data elements governing all 3rd party relationships with payment providers and financial institutions.
• Use data-driven insights to optimize 3rd party costs deriving from payment providers relationships. 

What you’ll bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a Payments Controller or Financial Controller or Financial Executive.
• Advanced degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Economics.
• Thorough knowledge of financial principles and procedures.
• Significant experience with creating financial reports.
• Major cost orientation, along with passion to deliver and a strong can-do attitude.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform product decisions.
• Ability to move and influence others, while also building strong relationships.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; Proficient in English. 
• Exposure to the betting industry and/or payments-related field will be a big plus.
