OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Manager to champion and elevate our commitment to optimal quality standards throughout our factory operations. As the QA Manager you will collaborate with regional manufacturing partners, implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) to ensure product and process quality.

As the driving force behind the quality assurance process, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and audits to drive continuous improvements.  This role is crucial for maintaining excellence in our operations and fostering a quality-centric culture.

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Supplier Quality Management: 
  • Integrate Total Quality Management (TQM) principles into the manufacturing process.
  • Implement a Gymshark-approved quality inspection program, establishing a roadmap for transitioning to self-inspections.
  • Implement strategic initiatives such as the Factory Assigned QC project to incentivise manufacturers to enhance the quality of Gymshark products.
  • Assure the competency of all Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) personnel engaged in Gymshark product inspections.
  • Provide comprehensive training to certify QA/QC personnel assigned to uphold Gymshark's stringent quality standards.
  • Evaluate the performance of specialised functions, including washing technicians and surface embellishments, through careful observation and assessment. Track their execution of tasks and responsibilities within the realm of quality control.
  • Monitor the team's performance systematically, identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and potential challenges. This contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the process in their respective roles.
  • Dispense quality decisions, guidelines, and technical advice to all QA/Garment Specialist/Washing Tech personnel.
  • Continuously assess both new and existing vendors for their factory's quality setup, technical support, product capability, and production capacity.
  • Conduct vigilant monitoring to ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various samples, guaranteeing timely acquisition and compliance with specifications
• Risk Management:
  • Participate in risk assessments to identify potential quality risks across all products.
  • Execute rigorous quality control procedures during apparel manufacturing to uphold specified quality standards.
• Process Improvement: 
  
  • Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and actively contribute to enhancements that improve both product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate the product testing process.
  • Provide support for overseeing product testing and evaluation processes to validate performance, durability, and safety (DUPRO)
• Data Analysis:
  • Contribute to data analysis efforts to identify trends and track quality metrics, enabling data-driven decisions for quality enhancement
• Root Cause Analysis:
  • Collaborate in conducting root cause analysis for quality issues and participate in the implementation of effective corrective actions
• Documentation:
  • Support the accurate and comprehensive documentation of quality control processes, procedures, and reports for internal and third-party stakeholders

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Quality professional in the apparel industry, with a strong track record of successful quality management.  
• In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures, apparel manufacturing processes, & industry standards.
• Ability to work remotely & independently, demonstrating excellent time management & organisational skills.
• Understanding of garment construction, sewing machines and patterns.
• Analytical & problem-solving abilities to identify quality issues & propose effective solutions.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers & vendors.
• Proficiency in using quality management tools & software.
• Flexibility to travel to within Bangladesh and other production countries for on-site inspections or meetings, as required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with seamless: knitting, dying and stitching
• Knowledge of cut & sew: cotton, cotton blends and synthetic materials
• Experience with garment-dyed products
• Understanding of printing techniques placement and AOP

Please note that this role will be based in Bangladesh.
