Entain Australia and New Zealand is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to join our Wellington team. Our Scheduling team's objective is to provide customers with an unparalleled line up of live racing. You will form an integral part of our wider Media team where every day you'll have the opportunity to impact the way our customers consume racing content. As a Scheduling Specialist you'll be leading a dynamic role with core responsibilities, yet no two days are the same within this thrilling industry. This is a high impact role with our industry stakeholders as you deliver dynamic race schedules and decide which races are broadcast across our two renowned Trackside channels. Where and how you can work...

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. At Entain AUS & NZ, we value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend some time at the office and at home, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences.  This position is located at our Wellington office and having the flexibility to work some weekends would be essential for this role.

Your day-to-day...

  • Operational Delivery: Responsibility for the forward scheduling of New Zealand and international races on broadcast channels to facilitate wagering. Actioning and overseeing changes to overseas races daily & making any changes to NZ times when required.
  • Communication: As a channel champion, distribute relevant upcoming feature racing to internal and external stakeholders. Share scheduling changes with the wider Entain teams in a timely manner.
  • Maintain website: Maintain scheduling website with start times so these are accessible to customers and stakeholders. Website is accurately updated at least 4 weeks in advance of race-days.
  • Raceday Control management: Supporting the Raceday team on race days with scheduling decisions when necessary.
  • Relationship Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to optimise the flow of race start times in order to support the overall scheduling program.
  • Customer focus: Develop and apply actions that promote strong customer focus and standards. Act with the customer in mind and continually look for innovations and improvements to the customer experience of the work you do.

You're a match if you ideally have...

  • Work experience in a relevant role, and/or knowledge and interest in the racing or wagering industry.
  • Secondary school qualification in Maths and English is required, and a relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, paired with mathematical ability would be essential.
  • An organised and methodical approach, paired with a strong work ethic.
  • The drive to work independently while being devoted to a team ad your joint success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the desire to build strong relationships across the business.
