We are looking for a Backend Engineer to assist both our internal tech team and product team by carrying out backend tasks to continuously improve and build our currently existing application
As a backend engineer, your task is to execute the software development lifecycle from planning to implementation with the help of the senior, lead backend engineers, and head of engineering. You'll be architecting and executing efficient code and fully integrate these into our current existing system.

Ultimately, you will help grow and build both our product and internal systems from the ground up.

• Executing full lifecycle software development
• Architect and conceptualise the product from initiation
• Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 4+ years of experience in software design and development
• Strong database design and query writing skills with a commitment to performance and efficiency
• Working knowledge of RESTful API paradigms
• Strong coding skills (Javascript/Typescript, Node.js)
• Experience building distributed domain-driven microservices
• Strong understanding of database and storage fundamentals
• Experience with AWS stack
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Startup experience is a plus
• Knowledge of React.js is a plus
