The Role
As Senior Manager of Clinical Research, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and leading Numan’s evidence generation strategy and research operations. You’ll oversee the design, planning, and execution of high-quality clinical and real-world studies—ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and in full compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. This is a hands-on and strategic role, ideal for someone who can balance scientific rigour, operational precision, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, tech-enabled healthcare environment.
You will report directly to the Head of Coaching and Clinical Research, Behavioural Medicine.
You'll be:
Leading Numan’s Research Agenda: Driving the design and execution of clinical and real-world evidence (RWE) studies across obesity and metabolic health.
Overseeing Clinical Operations: Managing full study lifecycles, including protocol development, ethics submissions, vendor management, and quality control.
Driving RWE & Data Analytics: Collaborating with data science teams to analyze complex health datasets and assess long-term program outcomes.
Building Research Capacity: Establishing systems, SOPs, and training materials to scale a credible research function.
Managing Partnerships: Building collaborations with academic, clinical, and industry partners to advance joint studies and publications.
Leading Dissemination: Driving the publication strategy for peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
We're looking for someone who:
A PhD in a relevant field (e.g., obesity science, public health, epidemiology, or biomedical science).
3+ years of clinical or health research experience, including operational oversight of large-scale studies.
Strong quantitative research training and analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience managing full study lifecycles and successful ethics/regulatory submissions.
Subject matter expertise in obesity and weight management.
Proven experience managing and mentoring others.
Strong working knowledge of GCP, ethics, and data protection requirements.
Proficiency in statistical software such as R, Stata, Python, or SAS.
