About the role and about You:

Zwift is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel to provide legal guidance across the business. Reporting to the Head of Legal, People, and Workplace, you’ll join a team with Senior Counsel based in the United Kingdom and Senior Manager, Compliance & Risk in Long Beach. What you’ll do:

Partner with the business to provide general legal support to a wide range of stakeholders, including the leadership team, across the company and on a broad spectrum of legal matters.
Help the business achieve its commercial goals and manage risk when reviewing, revising, and negotiating various commercial contracts.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to review new or changing features and uses of information to facilitate compliance with privacy laws and company policies.
Assist the business with employment and consulting matters.
Manage outside counsel where appropriate, including selecting and directing the work of outside counsel, defining project objectives, and managing projects and budgets.
Assist with legal projects as they arise, such as litigation, M&A, and legal research projects.

What we’re looking for:

J.D. from an ABA-approved law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar, preferably California
3+ years of work experience as an attorney
Strong work ethic and organization skills
Commercially pragmatic and business oriented
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Bonus points:

Proven in-house experience, preferably at a global company
Specific experience in data privacy
Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, specialty from law school, etc.)
Experience in a technology or software business

The base salary for this position ranges between $128,500 to $204,500. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
