Note: This role is located in Austin, TX. Relocation support will be offered should our hired candidate need to relocate. 

Who You Are:

As Nutrabolt’s Senior Director of Brand Management for the Active Nutrition brands, you will be responsible for developing global brand strategies for the brand portfolio - C4 Pre-Workout, XTEND Recovery, and Cellucor, and all future innovations. You and your team will drive aided and unaided awareness, brand consideration and affinity, and revenue growth.  You will play the strategic and creative ‘quarterback’ across the entire organization for active nutrition, by partnering with cross-functional departments, international and commercial teams to drive integrated global campaigns and launches to market aligned to a clearly defined and communicated strategy.  You will be the voice of the consumer, from product innovation to commercial execution.  

This role is eligible to participate in our Management Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At:

  • Developing and driving active nutrition brand strategies, positioning, and consumer expression and lead the launch of integrated Global Brand campaigns to achieve marketing and commercial KPIs, whilst fostering a culture of calculated risk taking and disruptive innovation
  • Leading by influence across the marketing leadership team and key cross-functional partners to ensure you are the voice of the brand and the consumer
  • Establishing a brand vision & positioning for active nutrition and each sub-brand, driven by consumer insights. Aligning that vision with all key cross-functional partners, and then partnering to ensure that vision/positioning is executed consistently across all consumer and product touchpoints
  • Developing and continually optimizing the global integrated Go-To-Market and IMC processes with agencies, key functional departments (Social, Creative, Influence, Partnerships, Performance Marketing), international and commercial teams for the both our fast growing DTC and retailer businesses
  • Leading the annual Brand planning process for active nutrition and creation of the annual global Brand calendar to ensure optimal and timely trade sell in for upcoming seasons
  • Building and maintaining an integral leadership role with PD to drive the delivery of disruptive innovation and renovation across C4 brand portfolio to position our brands as the leader in performance energy and sports nutrition
  • Helping to elevate the role of brand to lead the framework development and comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy & launch for PD by building and maintaining strong working relationships with the commercial team and other cross-functional stakeholders including:  research, R&D, sales, DTC, e-commerce, and finance
  • In partnership with category insights team, identifying and translating insights and research from customized brand tracking studies into business opportunities that align with brand values
  • Maintain a pulse on macro trends, culture, and the competitive landscape to create compelling insights that will inform workstreams
  • Partnering with marketing operations to manage the brand marketing budget and timelines, ensuring all milestones are met
  • Being an empathetic, inspirational and thoughtful leader of people who operate with their teams best interests in mind
  • Coaching and developing talent, and constantly working to empower their teams to do their best work and enabling them with the skills, resources and guidance the need to reach their potential
  • In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
    • Brand Awareness
    • Household Penetration
    • Increase DTC as % of company sales
    • Market share
    • Effectiveness of full go-to-market process and success

What You Contribute: 

  • 7-10+ years plus brand marketing, ideally with blended DTC and CPG experience, within energy drink, sports nutrition and/ or lifestyle categories either inhouse or inhouse + agency
  • Experience working, thriving, and successfully building brands in a fast-moving, and changing scale up environment
  • 5+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, or related field preferred
  • Proven track record of world class marketing, branding and new product strategies, including crafting successful marketing campaigns, increasing revenue, brand awareness and consideration
  • Experience translating rich consumer insights into actionable and compelling marketing tactics
  • High standard of culturally relevant creative excellence
  • Analytical mindset with ability to story tell through data
  • Strategic and innovative thinking, and can deliver results that are aligned to business goals and objectives
  • A growth-mindset, with accountability, urgency, and a desire to win
  • Project management skills to manage multiple high-profile and high-budget projects at once
  • Ability to influence, work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment where the ability to influence and build relationships is critical
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
