THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director, Global Tax to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's tax strategy and compliance. Our ideal candidate is an accomplished tax professional with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective tax strategies. With a strong background in tax planning, tax compliance, reporting, and transfer pricing documentation and strategies, the ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience to navigate the complexities of tax regulations and ensure the company's financial success.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and execute effective tax strategies and transfer pricing to enhance the company's overall global tax position; identify and assess potential tax risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide leadership and guidance on tax planning initiatives to minimize the company's tax liability.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
- Partner with external advisors to update and maintain transfer pricing policies, studies, and reports throughout the year including preparation of the company’s master files and all local files.
- Communicate tax strategies and planning to senior management to enable decision making.
- Provide leadership to tax professionals through coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities.
- Stay informed of developments in international and domestic tax laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices to proactively address potential challenges and model and communicate potential impact on the company.
- Partner with the other teams in Finance and Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of tax-related matters.
- Provide support for external audits related to tax matters.
- Continuously assess and improve tax-related processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with external tax advisors, regulatory authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the tax department.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required, Master’s of Science in Taxation a plus.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in tax, with a minimum of 10 years in a strategic leadership role.
- Strong understanding of domestic, international, and transfer pricing tax laws and regulations; Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing strategic tax plans that align with organizational goals.
- Proven ability to identify and manage tax-related risks, ensuring compliance and optimizing financial outcomes.
- Capacity to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex tax concepts to various stakeholders.
- Strong leadership track record, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing tax team.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $216,500 - $225,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is only one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
