The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations plays a crucial role in the coordination and scheduling of all broadcast content.  Tasked with creating the daily Broadcast Log, the Senior Manager ensures all commercials, promotions and other on-air elements are properly scheduled and in compliance with advertiser and regulatory standards and agreements.  The Senior Manager is responsible for the scheduling and managing of Program Formats within Wide Orbit.  The Senior Manager also works closely with Sales, Programming, Master Control and Production managing inventory to ensure that commercial units and Programs are correctly scheduled and that last-minute commercial or copy changes are accommodated seamlessly.

 

Responsibilities

  • Production and delivery of Daily Broadcast Log.
  • Enter schedule and maintain formats for all NFLN Shows in Wide Orbit.
  • Adjust formats on logs to ensure each program times out.
  • Manage all Program Changes within Wide Orbit in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Actualize all available NFLN shows including all NFL Pre-Season games.
  • Production and delivery of Alternate Logs.
  • Reconciliation of Ancillary Networks (ESPN and Sunday Ticket ).
  • Assist in analyzing inventory capacity to ensure maximum advertising revenue.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to Traffic Team members for copy and commercial instructions.

 

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 5+ years media experience
  • Proficient in Wide Orbit Network, Wide Orbit Program and PC computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Sales, Commercial Traffic, Programming and in the television/cable industry.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
  • Effectively manage issues and relationships and provide calm, clear direction under stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.

 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

 

 

Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. 

 

Salary
$100,000$135,000 USD
