As a Senior Web Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our web platform, which encompasses a wide range of technologies from Single Page Applications (SPA) and Server-Side Rendering (SSR) with Next.js to web integrations within our mobile applications. This role is essential in transitioning our platform to a more unified and efficient structure. While this position does not involve direct people management, you will be a key player in driving technical excellence and supporting the growth and development of our engineering team.

Your Responsibilities

Platform Development: Lead the enhancement and unification of our web platform, integrating both legacy and modern technologies to create a cohesive and scalable system

Technical Contribution: Actively participate in the development and optimization of web applications, focusing on performance, scalability, and user experience

CI/CD Improvement: Collaborate on refining our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable delivery of software updates

Quality Assurance: Implement and advocate for robust testing practices to maintain high standards of code quality and reliability

Performance Optimization: Drive efforts to improve the speed and responsiveness of our web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience

Collaborative Development: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives and user needs

Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to other web engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development

Agile Teamwork: Thrive in an agile, iterative development environment, adeptly handling evolving priorities and challenges

Your Profile

Web Development Expertise: Extensive experience with modern web development technologies, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js

Headless CMS: Proficient in integrating and working with headless CMS systems to manage content across various web applications

Testing Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies to ensure high-quality code

Performance Focus: Demonstrated ability to optimize web applications for performance and user experience

CI/CD Knowledge: Strong understanding and practical experience with CI/CD tools and practices to streamline the development process

Effective Communication and Team Collaboration: A strong team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, with an ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mentorship: Passionate about supporting and mentoring fellow engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge

Adaptability and Agile Mindset: Experience with agile methodologies and a commitment to iterative and incremental development, while at the same time comfortable with ambiguity and capable of pivoting based on new technical and business insights
