About The Role

As a Strategic Finance Associate, you will have the unique opportunity to support Headway’s rapid growth and most important decisions with analytical insight and strategic recommendations. This high impact, highly visible role sits on the Strategic Finance team, which plays a critical role in shaping our long-term business strategy and execution

You will:

  • Partner with Payer Business Development team to drive the success of Headway’s Payer commercial efforts
  • Build financial forecasts and targets, track performance, and understand deviations from actuals to drive strategy and operational rigor
  • Gain deep knowledge and understanding of Headway’s business performance across Payer partners and markets
  • Work cross functionally to identify important strategy questions and answer them with data
  • Define metrics and leading indicators of business performance and partner with the Data team to develop tools and dashboards to make these metrics widely accessible across Headway
  • Support competitive benchmarking efforts

You’d be a great fit if:

  • You have 3-4 years of professional experience, ideally in a mix of financial services (Investment Banking / Private Equity) and highly analytical roles at a fast-growing company (Strategic Finance / Strategy & Ops / BizOps)
  • You are intellectually curious and seek to understand the why behind the numbers
  • You value precision and accuracy when it comes to your work, and you can rapidly dissect complex quantitative problems
  • You have exceptional analytical skills, including advanced Excel/google sheets skills, with a proven ability to digest large amounts of data and hone into the most important details

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary information is based on a single salary target per role and is differentiated based on geographic location (Group A, B, or C)
    • Group A: $120,000
    • Group B: $108,000
    • Group C: $96,000
      • Examples of cities located in each Compensation Grouping:
      • Group A = NYC, SF/Bay Area, LA Area, Seattle, Boston, Austin, and San Diego
      • Group B = Chicago, Miami, Denver, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Nashville, Sacramento, Phoenix, and Portland
      • Group C = All remaining cities
