Introduction

To maintain and improve the multi-lingual European B2B E-Commerce web shop, Shimano is looking for a B2B E-Commerce Platform Specialist.

In this role your focus will be to ensure the Global B2B Web shop is used to its full potential in Europe by 20+ local offices.

You will be part of the B2B E-Business Europe Team. You will be working closely with (local) Business teams and stakeholders, the global head office in Japan, related Systems teams and Technology Services. The aim is to deliver the best experience for the customers on the B2B platform, to drive online sales.

The Challenge

  • Drive the implementation of E-Business initiatives across different departments (e.g., Data Maintenance, Technology Services). Proactively mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure on time delivery 

  • Ensure the customer finds what they are looking for by improving the e-commerce on-site Search & Navigation and propose improvements to Product data 

  • Proactively seek improvement areas affecting the end-to-end customer journey 

  • Develop business cases for e-business improvements and translate requirements into clear user stories 

  • Guide the System Support colleagues to ensure support SLAs and KPIs are met  

  • Execute business analysis to help take data driven decisions 

  • Engage in strategy & direction, change & communication 

What are we looking for?

  • A relevant Bachelor or Masters’ degree 

  • 3-5 years of experience in the role of  B2B E-Commerce Platform Specialist  or similar, preferably in an international B2B environment 

  • Adaptable self-starter who is skilled at creating structure in ambiguous environments with a pro-active, result-oriented and hands-on attitude 

  • Analytical and Data-driven: Base your decisions on facts rather than opinions 

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English with audiences of all levels 

  • Proven ability to proactively manage risk and influence others 

  • Experience with Agile software development 

  • Working knowledge of tools such as SAP Commerce (Hybris), SOLR and Google Analytics is a plus 

  • Knowledge of Bicycle products and/or Fishing Tackle is a plus
