The Role

This role will work as an Account Director on the Hospitality team responsible for leading the day to day management and execution of tentpole event hosted experiences with a focus on Senior Leadership Executive Hosting (aka CEO Programming) & Executive Level Business Hosting. The candidate will interface day to day with the client and will work cross functionally with internal teams, external vendors, clients and property partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of a wide range of event types – national, sports & entertainment-based, high-touch executive events
  • Interacting with senior-level, C-suite executives on-site during event execution
  • Continually improve the end-to-end client experience, ensuring that all attendee touch points across the entire event life cycle are delivered with the highest level of quality and consistency
  • Research & recommend outside vendors, venue sites, hotels & ground transportation and tracking overall budgets at the event level
  • Lead pre-planning, project management and implementation for events including vendor vetting and selection and requisite event activation plans and supporting communication documents (i.e., Agendas, Status Updates, Project Plans, Event Overviews, Event Guides, Recaps, etc.)
  • Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure consistent & comprehensive communication
  • Facilitate creative approval process (i.e. renderings, signage, POS, etc.)
  • Develop & manage timelines, run of show, budgets & reconciliation
  • On-site event logistics management & execution
  • Ensure all agency protocols are being followed including vendor agreements, accounting processes, recaps, etc.
  • Utilize agency resources appropriately and efficiently
  • Demonstrate highest level of critical thinking with focus on proactiveness and attention to detail
  • A moderate amount of domestic event travel will be required throughout the year, including nights and weekends
  • Develop and deliver compelling written and verbal communications

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years’ experience in sports, entertainment or hospitality marketing
  • General understanding of current brand consulting & hospitality marketing industry
  • Work experience at an experiential agency or hospitality experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in positions requiring discretion, judgment, tact, and poise and you are absolutely reliable and trustworthy
  • Demonstrates highest level of critical thinking with focus on proactiveness and ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Team oriented, able to pivot and take on new tasks quickly
  • Able to prioritize multiple projects with ease, manage deadlines, coordinate key timelines and perform under pressure with strong attention to detail
  • Not afraid to “pitch in”, “roll up your sleeves” and get it done. You take initiative. No task is too big or too small
  • Knowledge in working with detailed budgets
  • Polished written and verbal skills. Strong at communicating in written format through well-crafted email correspondence
  • Curious; energetic able to pull insights and present research to their direct report
  • Ability to listen and ask poignant questions
  • Interested in entertainment and pop culture- follows trends, watches sports, awards shows, reads blogs, etc.
  • Able to utilize agency resources appropriately and efficiently
  • Willingness to work early mornings or late nights to accommodate weekends and holidays (if applicable)
  • Ability to build trust through relationship building, confidence and business acumen
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business or equivalent work experience

Location

Based out of the Los Angeles office or Seattle (along side our clients).  This role is onsite/in office Tuesday thru Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $102,000-$145,000 for Los Angeles and $102,000-$142,000 for Seattle. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
