As Wasserman supports flexible working environments, the successful candidate will be required to work from both the office in Toronto and a remote location.

What will you do?

As a key member of Wasserman’s industry-leading Consulting Division, you will take a leadership position on the team responsible for providing strategic marketing services for corporate brand clients. This team specializes in delivering insight and data-led brand strategy, specifically in the areas of sponsorship, sport, entertainment and culture. Client deliverables will include market landscapes, competitive analysis, partnership & program evaluation, partnership negotiation, business planning and other services aimed at guiding a brands strategy and investments.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Fostering a positive, collaborative, teamwork environment aligned to Wasserman’s inclusive company culture and values
  • Mentoring, managing and developing a high-performance team of consulting professionals
  • Leading and managing multiple, senior client relationships with a steadfast commitment to exceptional service 
  • Producing a wide range of thoughtful, data-led models and deliverables designed to guide client goals, objectives, business plans and marketing strategy for key partnerships.
  • Directing the development and implementation of brand and client solutions across internal business units including creative strategy and development, concept/campaign ideation and measurement frameworks
  • Synthesizing significant amounts of data through quantitative and qualitative analysis and translating findings into accessible, high-impact insights
  • Developing detailed and tactical roadmaps & frameworks that align strategy to implementation
  • Leading detailed program and partnership evaluation, utilizing proprietary and industry measurement tools
  • Building and overseeing the creation of design-forward, narrative-driven visual presentations
  • Creating sophisticated thought leadership deliverables, bringing a well-informed, inspired point of view
  • Driving project management, determining critical milestones, guiding internal parties and reporting results
  • Collaborating with the integrated services team on client deliverables across creative, content, and experiential services
  • Thinking daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients.
  • Working closely with executive leadership to facilitate deal structures and negotiation strategy of accounts, crafting the best business structures for entering or renewing agreements.  
  • In partnership with senior leadership team, performing analysis and making recommendations on capacity planning, staffing structures, and critical milestones.

 

Who are we looking for?

As a passionate, analytical thinker, you get excited when presented with a business or brand challenge, bringing equal parts art and science to inform your approach to problem solving. You are detail oriented with proven ability to unlock insight through research and you anchor all strategic decision making in established facts. Equally important is your ability to communicate recommendations in an impactful manner whether verbally, visually or through compelling copy writing. You have no problem rolling up your sleeves to get the work done, but also provide your team with appropriate autonomy to develop their skillsets. 

Requirements

The successful candidate can quantify success in brand strategy or consulting within a professional services environment, bringing the following credentials: 

 

  • An experienced, inclusive and open-minded people leader that empowers people through coaching and collaboration.
  • A proven client-first mindset, with the ability to build confidence and enhance relationships through exceptional communication.
  • Strength and comfort in presenting materials to a variety of audiences from entry level to C-Suite both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategy development with professional knowledge of the sponsorship and marketing industry.
  • Strong ability to independently disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend brand-relevant and category-altering solutions.
  • A creative thinker, seasoned at creating narrative-driven presentations supported by strong data visualization and graphics.
  • Ability to drive results through the development of process and structure.
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, with sharp attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities across qualitative and quantitative research, data visualization, and technical writing.
  • A skilled and effective negotiator with familiarity with contractual language.
  • Demonstrated strength and in-depth experience with Microsoft Excel as well as a proficiency in designing rich and impactful decks in PowerPoint / Keynote.
  • Experience working with syndicated research tools (i.e. Vividata/Nielsen, Scarborough, GWI) an asset but not required.
  • French fluency, both verbal and written, an asset but not required.

Estimated Salary range:

Our salary intelligence, powered by our AI algorithms, has calculated an estimated range for this position between $90,000 - $120,000 . Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
