Who You Are:

Our Field Sales Director will build and lead a field sales and merchandising team to drive sales growth and brand health on the active nutrition side across key markets and in support of key Fortune 500 retail partners. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to maximize market penetration, sales volume, brand presence, brand health, merchandising, and revenue generation.

This role is eligible to participate in our Sales Bonus Plan.             

What You're Good At:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for active nutrition products, defining clear goals, objectives, and KPIs for the field sales team
  • Leading and mentoring a team of field representatives located in various key markets
  • Recruiting, training, and developing talent to ensure they meet or exceed performance targets
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key fortune 500 retail partners in the Specialty and FDM channels
  • Collaborating to ensure products' visibility, sales velocity, and positioning within their stores
  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Utilizing this knowledge to adapt and refine the field sales and marketing strategy
  • Developing and managing budgets for field sales and marketing activities. Monitoring expenses, tracking ROI, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation
  • Overseeing the successful launch of new products, including creating go-to-market plans, promotional strategies, and ensuring alignment with retailer partners
  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotions in collaboration with the marketing team to drive product sales and brand awareness
  • Establishing and monitoring performance metrics for the field sales team, providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Creating regular reports on field sales and marketing performance, outlining successes, challenges, and recommended actions for senior management

What You Contribute: 

  • 8+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in the active nutrition and/or functional CPG industry is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Proven success in building and overseeing field sales teams and managing key retail accounts
  • Strong knowledge of the fitness and supplement industry
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate strategies into actionable plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Willingness to travel as needed
