If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! The Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) are looking for an In-Game DJ to join their Game Production team.

We are seeking a talented individual to create an engaging atmosphere for fans through music coordination at all Ottawa Black Bears (NLL) lacrosse games.

This is a part-time role based on the organization’s events and lacrosse calendar which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Main Responsibilities

Attend all Ottawa Black Bears home games at Canadian Tire Centre, which are held on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Provide engaging music throughout all segments of the game (pre-game, in-game, and halftime).
Alternate DJ for Ottawa Senators home games and other Canadian Tire Centre events as needed.

Requirements

1-3+ years of DJ experience required. Sports industry experience is a strong asset.
Bilingualism is an asset (English & French), but not required.
Ability to:

Entertain a large crowd and be creative with music choices.
Effectively communicate and work with others in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
Provide thoughtful music choices that will get the crowd involved in the game.
Mix music, create mashups, and blend songs together.
Attend pre-game staff meetings, typically 2 to 2.5 hours before opening faceoff and rehearsals when required.
Work additional team events if applicable.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexible hours and available to work all home games including preseason and postseason if applicable.
Knowledge of basic audio and video production technology, trends within the music industry, and music genres.

Candidates may be asked to read off a script during the interview process to showcase their abilities.
