Responsibilities

  • Identify and capture video of amateur prospects in designated coverage area for current draft year and future draft years.
  • Attend and collect video at various summer and fall showcases/events.
  • Upload Video to online file-sharing system for editing.
  • Log player information into online scouting system and submit to Manager and Editor.
  • Organize and plan cost effective methods of travel.
  • Project a positive role as a goodwill ambassador for Major League Baseball.
  • Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, player advisors, an scouting staff.
  • Perform video editing and other special duties as assigned by Draft Operations group.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior video and/or scouting experience desired.
  • High-level (college or professional) playing experience a plus.
  • A self-starter with strong administrative, organizational and communication skills.
  • High-level understanding and passion for the game of baseball.
  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of video equipment and filming techniques desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • Self-starter who works well in a team setting.
  • Video Editing abilities desired.
  • Bi-Lingual abilities desired.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to relocate to West Coast.
  • Applicant must be willing to work nights/weekends and holidays.
  • Applicant must be willing to travel.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Pay Range $22.00 - $27.00
