Responsibilities

Identify and capture video of amateur prospects in designated coverage area for current draft year and future draft years.
Attend and collect video at various summer and fall showcases/events.
Upload Video to online file-sharing system for editing.
Log player information into online scouting system and submit to Manager and Editor.
Organize and plan cost effective methods of travel.
Project a positive role as a goodwill ambassador for Major League Baseball.
Build positive relationships with players, parents, coaches, player advisors, an scouting staff.
Perform video editing and other special duties as assigned by Draft Operations group.

Qualifications and Skills

Prior video and/or scouting experience desired.
High-level (college or professional) playing experience a plus.
A self-starter with strong administrative, organizational and communication skills.
High-level understanding and passion for the game of baseball.
Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
Understanding of video equipment and filming techniques desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational skills are a must.
Self-starter who works well in a team setting.
Video Editing abilities desired.
Bi-Lingual abilities desired.

Other Requirements:

Ability to relocate to West Coast.
Applicant must be willing to work nights/weekends and holidays.
Applicant must be willing to travel.
Valid Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Pay Range $22.00 - $27.00
